On another topic...

Oh , what was I saying? I was trying to post last night and it got erased. Hmm... musta been the govment trying to censor me . Can they do that ? Not yet....Stay tuned. So , anyway I was saying , What is the deal with people who say they are anti abortion or "pro life" supporting the policies of one gw bush ? It's a contradiction of enormous consequences. Does anyone see the hypocrisy in this flawed judgment? I mean , Saddam is not a good guy by any means. And maybe taking him out of power was not a bad thing. But he was killing his own people during the reign of g bush the first with his blessing , because Iraq was in a war with the other "evil hordes" , Iran. It's a policy of "he may be a son of a bitch , but he's our son of a bitch" , as one richard nixon was known to say. I mean, Saddam had weapons of mass destruction , because our govment sold them to him.
So , anyway , the "pro life" folks want to stop abortions across the board , 'cause they are soo concerned with the life of the unborn. Well , folks , here is their policy and whacked out logic in a nutshell. They are out and out racists and they want to keep the white folks as the dominant race in this country. How do I come to this conclusion? Look at the "pro life" crowd. You got one Jerry Falwell, you got Pat "lets knock off Hugo Chavez" Robertson, and a bunch of other religious fascists , proclaiming their virtue , while calling for the banning of books , the locking up of gays , and making everyone into a Christian , to fit their warped little mindsets. They say they want to democratise Iraq , while really all they want is to control the oil, and , if they can, they want to turn the "evil" Muslims into "good Christians". Have I been listening to Air America radio too much , maybe , but I'd rather listen to that than CNN or fox news , while they cheer on the "president" and his whacked out view of the world.
So , abortion . The "pro life" forces do not want anyone to have an abortion , because of the numbers. They know that poor black folks and poor latinos have less abortions than middle class white folks. Therefore , in about ten years or so , the population of blacks and latinos will probably surpass that of white folks . So , if they ban abortions of all people , the white folks can remain the dominant population . See, they don't want the black and latino population to increase , as witnessed by the recent non actions taken during hurricane Katrina in new Orleans., causing the deaths of countless black people. If they were sooo "pro life" wouldn't they have put more of an effort in saving the people of New Orleans ? Yeah , I know , people shouldn't rely on the govment so much , but , guess what ? When the hurricanes hit Florida , they happened to hit the wealthier , white sections of Florida , and you better believe they got more service from the good folks at fema!
So , I don't know what's coming for the new year , but HAPPY NEW YEAR , anyway!!!!

new years revolutions

So , is the season over ? New years eve is in a few days , and everyone is running around , trying to find the best party , trying to find a place where they can spend $200.00 to get drunk and act like idiots. "Amateur night for drunks" is what I always call it. Hey , I've been drunk plenty , and I've stayed up all night plenty , so what's the big deal? Why do people have to act like fools just one night getting wasted? Oh , I forgot , some do that almost every day. Well drinking is alright , as I've had my share , and some times it was fun , but mostly it was sad and depressing. You can't really experience things when you are drunk . It just puts a weird face on everything. I'm generally a shy , quiet person , but put a few drinks in me under the right circumstances , and I can become almost the life of the party. Not that I always remember what I did the night before , and I'm not proud of my drunken exploits , I don't like people who go "you know last night I was sooo drunk , it was such a good time! ....... Well , like I said , I've had some good times drunk , but mostly bad and sad times. I'm tired of hanging around dank , smokey bars , trying to talk to inebriated woman , trying to get them interested in me , which I 've had some success at. But it just feels wrong , as if being drunk makes it easier , or something. Then you wake up the next day , feeling like crap , wondering just what the hell you drank, and why you're with so and so . No , it's never been that bad , but if you need a few drinks to feel comfortable with people , maybe drinking is just one of your problems.
Don't mean to moralize , but I've sort of had a drinking problem for many years , probably starting when I was 18 and working at summercamp in Wisconsin, where beer was the state beverage , and they still served 18 yr olds. Well, it was a teenagers dream, and I was drunk every night , which was not a good thing , 'cause I was supposed to look after a bunch of kids as a camp counselor. Yeah , I was a good icon for those kids , "hey look at drunky , he's our counselor" . No it wasn't that bad , but it didn't make it easy in that miserable summer . I guess drinking made it a little more bearable , 'cause I was miserable . Than a few years later , I had the pleasure of working retail dowmtown Chicago , with a bunch of serious alcoholics. It was a very stressful job , and every night , after work , we'd sit in the store , with the doors locked , and have a sixpack , or a twelve pack, then hit the bars for a few hours , usually getting home in a drunken stupor , then getting up the next day , and doing it all over again . This went on for at least five years, and some of those people I used to work with are probably dead by now , 'cause they probably never slowed down. I hope I never drink like that again , and after passing out on the bathroom floor and waking up , wondering how I got there after a particularly big drinking night , actually , I had had at least 8 of those large weiss beers , you know , the sixteen ounce kind , from Germany, and , me being a kind of thin guy , well , I can't really hold my liquor. But , you know , no one can really hold thier liquor , and I don't care how macho you make it seem , pissing on an el platform at three am 'cause that's what beer makes you do , is never fun or romantic , or macho or anything, but kinda awful. So if drinking makes you a "big man" , then again , you're really very small minded, and you may be an abusive , nasty person , with lots and lots of emotional stuff going on. Sorry , didn't mean to bring you down ,so HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Coming - return season!

Yes , folks, it's return season , time for all of us to return all the crap we pretend to like , such as the ugly sweater Aunt Sadie gave us , when we said , "Oh Sadie , it's gorgeous", or , of course , who could forget the countless times that good old uncle Nathan , "uncle nose" , as we used to call him, gave us bingo sets for Hanukkah , every year for at least five years ( yes that story is true , Aunt Sadie is not. I don't have an Aunt Sadie) We didn't , however , return the bingo sets , just looked at them and said , "what's that all about?" We never did figure out why he gave us bingo sets , but he gave us them a lot . Maybe he liked bingo , and wanted to share the joy of bingo with us. Maybe he wanted us to open a bingo parlor, I don't know . Relatives are strange , but I don't have to tell you . Any hoo, it's return season , 'cause the economy runs on Chankwanamas presents. It relies on a BIGGG Christhaunakwans buying season to boost the sagging economy, to make it artificially look like it's good , while really , it kinda sucks , what with GM and Ford laying off some 60,000 people in the next five years. Yeah, the economy is fine. Just ask the Haliburton stockholders! They're doing just fine , thank you. It's a "faith based economy" , just prey for money and it'll come to you! So , go to wally mart and get really good prices on crap made in sweatshops by people who try and live on $2,ooo dollars a year , while they could never even afford to buy the stuff they make every day , and to save any money for presents takes them about six months.
But , really , what are the holidays all about? Peace on earth? The birth of Christ? A time in Jewish history , when they didn't have enough oil for the lamps and magically made the oil last eight days , so that we can eat fried potato pancakes and donuts as a symbol of that oil? The kwanza symbols , just recently developed to resemble an ancient African tradition?
Well, folks , here in America, it just means buy , buy , buy! And buy some more, 'cause the economy don't look so good! Well, my mom sent be a big box of mixed nuts, which is nice , but I was expecting something more . I , of course , didn't get anyone anything , as yet. It's part of my fear of spending money I'm afraid I don't have , even though I have some . I just get afraid that if I spend some , I'll spend it all. Irrational as that may seem , it's a fear I have. So buy , buy buy , people ! The money you spend may be your own.
So of course I was expecting more . All the ads on TV have brainwashed me to expect more . Alright , I don't expect a lot , just a new Cadillac el Dorado coupe de ville, if you please . Wait , I don't even like gaudy , self indulgent cars. So, it's another Christhanukwanzmas gone by , and all I got was this lousy t - shirt!!!

The passion - Hanukwansmas 2005

I'm listening to Peter Gabriels "passion" , the soundtrack for "the Passion of the Christ" , on this , Christmas or "Hanukwansamas" , as I am calling it this year. I didn't read much of the bible , as I believe too many people have died in the name of "my religion is better than yours" , and "your religion doesn't count" , and that sort of thing, and, as the war in Iraq still goes on , there are folks that want to change the " Muslim hordes" into "good god fearing Christians" , and you know who these people are. Aren't all religions in search of mans' origins , and aren't all religions for peace on earth? Or, are we all going to die in a fit of hellfire and brimstone , and the "true believers" are going to heaven , and the rest of us going to burn in hell? After the horrors of the world trade center attacks , there were people saying that the Islamic extremists who allegedly masterminded the attacks and who flew the planes into the buildings were to be greeted by 100 virgins in heaven , and the other non believer " infidels " were going to that fiery place of desolation and awfulness. I guess it's all a matter of perspective , as the other side will say that those who flew the planes and died went straight to Hades to burn , while the good people who died in the ruins , went straight to heaven, maybe not to meet 100 virgins , but to be in peace. Hey , whets the deal with 100 virgins? As some comedian said , I ' d rather be with 100 woman who've had some sex than 100 virgins , at least they'd know what to do , but , I guess the fundamentalists among us like to put woman way atop the pedestal and treat them as their slaves , but that's another topic for another time.
I find that fundamentalist religions of whatever stripe to be abhorrent , be them Jewish Hasidim or Baptist Christians or Islamic fundies, the whole "my religion is better than yours" thing is disgusting to me. I mean , sure , Israel is the Jewish state , but , hey guess what , there are Palestinians living there too , and , as much as you don't want to recognize them , you can't kill them all off. And , hey you Islamic fundies , the Jews have just as much right to live there, too.
So why does it go on . I mean, there has been war in Israel since its founding in 1948 , and sometimes I think the only reason this government supports the state of Israel is because they buy massive amounts of weapons from us. I mean , after all, this war has been going on for more than FIFTY YEARS! Fifty years to defend an area the size of Rhode Island. And after 50 years and gazillions of dollars , what have we got? A promise of peace , a walled Israel to keep the "Palestinian hordes" out of the "true Israel" , and more war and bombings. After the holocaust in Europe in WWII ( the big one) , the state of Israel was founded . And now , 50 years after the Jews were rounded up in Poland , Germany , and other places , they still round up Palestinians, treating them not so differently as the Germans treated them. So it just goes on and on. And I'm tired of the arguments that go nowhere from the hasids saying they're different than the "terrorists". As far as I'm concerned , they are also terrorists. There methods may be different , and more sophisticated , but the end result is the same. People die , and it doesn't matter whether they be Jews or Muslims , or whatever. You can run , but you can't hide.
On that happy note, I'll just say
Happy Hanukwansmas!!!

happy hanukwansmas

yeah , I know , someone had the idea before me . I just saw another blog with a different version of a similar theme. Well since all three holidays are falling at almost the same time , they should just combine them all . I mean aren't we all wishing for peace on earth? Well, maybe not all of us . There are some who just want a "piece" of the earth for thier own profit and gain , never really thinking of anyone else. The repugs , for example. Will someone please tell these thuggish thieves that "1984" is not an example of how to run the government? At any rate, I am talking about the "war " on christmas, some idea that bill o riely of the faux network has tried to brainwash average "red state " americans with , just to take thier minds off of the real news stories like carl rove being indicted , george the "war president" spying on average folks under the guise of "homeland security", etc.
And in my job as a telephone researcher, I call up business owners of large and small companies and confirm data for a catalog of manufactures in many states. Well , the other day , as I was doing my regular job , at the end of my brief communications with these companies , I casually say , "have a nice holiday", just so I'll cover all the bases. Well , I wished one pleasent small business owner in the state of Washington to "have a nice holiday " and he says, "It's MERRY CHRISTMAS", like he was insulted and had been watching too much bill o'reily. Yeah , you white christian males sure have it bad ! You've been running the show for how long , and suddenly , there's the jews and the blacks and the muslims and the hindus , forcing us to acknowedge thier heritage , too and , of course , being the bullies that you are , you just can't share! So, it's the "war on Christmas , making people remove thier "Jesus in a manger " scenes on public lawns like public schools , libraries , and government buildings , as if that were some sort of a crime . Hey , equil time , I say , I mean isn't that what America is supposed to stand for ? No persecution of whatever religious beliefs you have? Oh , yeah , I forgot, we have a "christian" president, whatever the hell that means. So , happy holidays , for those not insulted by that phrase!

It's been a while....

Yeah , I know , "why don't you write more , it'l get all that stuff out of your head! If I've said it once , I've said it a hundred times to myself. Well, I guess there's a lot on my mind , with the "president" breaking the law and all , and acting like he really doesn't care , and it's been so damned cold! But , actually , right now , we're in a thawing period.
Anyhow , what was I thinking about ? Oh , yeah, the environment. Yeah , that old thing. What , there's too much mercury in fish, caused by toxins in our air and water? It seems that all those pollutants we constantly are putting into our air and water have a down side. What, you say , I thought we could just drive all we wanted , and run the factories on coal and put as much hydrocarbons into the air as we wanted without any regard to what would happen to it. I thought we could dump as much toxic sludge into the water as we wanted , 'cause we can make more money in the short term. I thought we could make as much money off the suffering of others without any regard to how it affects anyone.
Isn't that what drives big business? So now there are tremedous levels of mercury in fish. Aren't there tremendous levels of mercury in chicken , beef and pork , too?
Isn't the mercury in fish the result of all the hydrocarbans in the pollution mixing with the oxygen , thus causing mercury levels to skyrocket? Has anyone measured the levels of mercury in animal products? No , probably not. I mean , according to the Chicago Trib article from last Sunday , they haven't really tested for mercury in fish for quite some time , and they weren't that thorough to begin with. I mean , I've got mercury in my fillings , and the Ada sanctioned dentists say it's alright , because it's in such low levels , that it won't affect you. Then, there are the alternative dentists that say any level of mercury will affect you and it can never fully leave your system. Confusing? Double messages? Yeah, that's what America is all about , the double ( and sometimes triple) message. Abortion , no good . War , good. Sex , no good. Pornography , good. Greed , good . Poor people getting ahead , no good , and on and on. I guess if you worry about this stuff too much , it can drive you crazy. But someone should be worried about it. Lots of people are sick from lots of toxic stuff in the environment and no one seems to want to take responsibility for it. "It's too expensive to clean up" I don't like regulations" I don't like big government" Hey ' you asses , all the money you're making right now as a result of your short sighted , "lets have no regulations" policies won't help you in ten years , when you have to wear oxygen tanks 'cause it'll be the only way to breathe without suffocating on all the toxic particulates in the air. And we won't be producing nearly as much if half the population has died from all the pollution. So , guess what . The air and water have to improve for you to continue to exist. Got that ? No , you're only thinking about the next six months , just as you've been doing for the last twenty five years. Hey , we can't just keep producing more and more stuff. There are effects of our actions. Plastic doesn't just go away. Toxins in the air and water don't just flush away for someone else to deal with. We're all living in the same toxic soup.
Marry x mas ? Happy chaunakah ? Oh , well , I had to cleanse my system . Do I feel better? No , my neck hurts from sitting at the computer too long. Work out tomorrow! Yeah!

White Sox win the world series!!!!

Yes , it's true , dear readers , the Chicago White Sox have won the world series!!!!
Unbelievable. And they did it very convincingly . I just hope I don't have to wait another 86 years to see another one. I grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago , as a cubbie fan , 'cause if you live on the north side , it's in your genes to be a cubs fan. You don't question it , it's just the way it is. Then, when you get older , and the years of cubs mediocrity has sunk in , waiting for them to get in the playoffs only to be crushed year after year, you get rather tired of watching baseball. 'Cause the cubbies hardly ever play real baseball , it's sort of glorified little league. So , while the cute little cubbies were playing like a bunch of bush leaguers , the white sox were pitching , stealing bases , hitting homers , getting timely hits , and generally playing like a championship team.
I watched the last world series game at a local north side bar last night , while , normally a cubs bar , was filling in as a White Sox bar. They weren't hard core cubs fans , as they were cheering the sox , ( real hard core cubs fans don't cheer on the sox , as hard core sox fans don't cheer for the cubs), but there were some hard core cub fans in attendance. The hard core cub fans were in agony , watching their enemies winning something they could only dream about. Well , cubbie fans , keep dreaming , cause it's never going to happen. If it ever does , you know hell's about to freeze over.
Last year , the Red Sox won , after many many years of getting close , (they've been in the series many more times than the cubs or sox , while hardly every winning.
As far as I'm concerned , the owners of the Cubs , The Chicago Tribune , treats cub fans like children, dangling some glory player in the fans faces , like a Greg Maddox, or a Nomar Garciapara, only to have then wallow in cub mediocrity, year after year , until age or injury or both leads them to retirement , never bringing a world series to the team. Remember , "there is no "I" in " team ". I don't think the cubs have ever figured that out, the cubs thinking seem to always be, bring in a few decent pitchers , bring in a few home run hitters , and the fans ,(suckers) will come in. The team may get close to a series , as they did in 2003 , only to have their hopes dashed by a phantom named Bartman who bobbled a ball that was supposed to be caught by Moises Alou. They had a chance and they couldn't follow through , as they do year , after year . Of course , the White Sox don't have much of a history to be proud of either, as their past has been bruised by black sox scandal involving a Jewish gangster named Arnold Rothstien paying the sox to throw the series as a way of getting back for the shoddy treatment dished out by one Charles Comiskey , the skinflint owner who had a ballpark named after him until Mr Reinsdorf and US celluar came a knockin'. In between those times , there was one Mr Bill Veeck , the carnival barker / baseball historian , whose idea of baseball was part vaudeville house , part three ring circus , all fun , except that he didn't have nearly the payroll to afford a good team and was subsequently the low budget owner , the owner for the average working Joe. But he was the owner the last time the Sox were in the series, in 1959 , when I was just a year old , and probably living in Cleveland, a year before My family moved back to the Chicago area.
Well , the 1959 Sox didn't win the series , either , and the Sox, already a second tier team in a two team city , had some really bad teams over the years , and a few good ones . One year that comes to mind is 1984 , when the Sox seemed to be destined to be in the series , only to have a strike cause the series to be canceled , like another rug pulled out from the long abused and suffering fans . Of course some of the older sox fans still talk about all the memories in old Comiskey Park , which, after years of neglect and low budgets , had to be torn down or would have fallen down on an unsuspecting beer drinker in the stands. Apparently , the ghost of Babe Ruth still hangs out in old Bridgeport bars , looking for a beer in between innings. (I just made that up for effect) I did have a few occasions to visit old Comiskey Park in the seventies and early eighties. It wasn't in the best shape in those days , but it had character and probably should have been treated better, but it's a new , rich money era in baseball , it has been for many years now and it's at the point now where the average Joe can't afford to go to the game , at least without spending at least $15.00 for the cheap seats and the $5.00 beers and 4 dollar hotdogs , well it all adds up , so that the sport that was originally for the working stiffs to get away from their humdrum lives is for the suits and executives that the working man shuns.
That was what Bill Veeck was trying to fight against . He was a regular guy who didn't want the giant salaries and giant egos to overtake the game. But he was from a different era.
So they built this new Sox park thing , and it's kind of a travesty. It's been called the "ball mall" , as it has all the personality of Schaumberg , and it's not the most personal ballpark , all concrete and tiers of seats high in the clouds. I haven't been there in a number of years , I probably am not a real baseball fan although I found them very exciting this year . They took it all, and half of the city doesn't even care, and that's just sad.
But , dear readers I think I'm officially a Sox fan now , tired of years of the Cubs playing it safe. Tomorrow, I buy a Sox hat.

time to face the facts

Bushco lies everytime he opens his mouth.
I'm disgusted from the floods in new orleans . if a hurricane hits a rich, white part of the country , you better believe he would react. but , no , he said that acts of god don't discriminate, only politicians do. wait , he didn't really say that . but he may as well have . 'cause now he wants to pay for his crappy attempt at helping people by cutting social security. hey asshole , some of the poor white folks who voted for you are not gonna like you a whole lot if you treat them like chattel. But hey , george , i guess you don't really care , 'cause it's not your money. "compassionate consevatism" , what the hell does that mean anyway? It's a contradiction in terms. He's just a sleazy buisnessman , so inept , and he doesn't care about how inept he is , or maybe it just seems that he's inept , but it's really all part of his plan to bankrupt this country , so he can become dictator. or the saudis can become dictators. scarey stuff. and what about hiring your college roommate to head fema , he didn't have any experience , but since you knew himm in college , and since georges whitehouse is just a college frathouse , he got in. hey george , go back to crawford and blow coke and drink bourban till you pass out, 'cause you're so "moral" moral? you don't care about anything but money.

changing the subject, a little

Here in the land of sun and fun
flowers and flowerpower,
I'd just like to reflect on how different California is to the midwest , where I usually reside.
It's sunny here in berkeley ,
where I'm on vacation,
From the humdrum, workaday world ,
that my life has become.
I'ts sunny now , though this morning cloudy,
as I walked a few miles , from oakland to berkely, just looking at the beutiful old california houses ,
and the flowers , miles of beautiful flowers.
everyone has a garden,
like it's a competition ,
to see who can grow the best flowers,
but everyone would win, as far as I'm concerned.
they don't have gardens like this , in the midwest , where I'm from,
where I'm always trying to escape from .
The long, cold , dark winters,
that never seem to end.
the hot , hot summers , where you just want to stay inside ,
with the air conditioning on.
in the winter , you stay inside 'cause it's too cold.
In the summer , you stay inside 'cause it's too hot .
I'm tired of being inside.
In northern california , they have earthquakes , or so I hear on the news
I've seen the pictures ,
of the '89 earthquake,
that did a lot of damage , destroyed the bay bridge
flat as a pancake.
But when I come to the bay area , I usually get good weather , at least a few days.
the sun is inviting ,
as the tide by the ocean.
San francisco
with it's 90 degree hills ,
and multi colored houses.
I can never get enough of it's beauty.
And even when my legs are sore
from walking it's ninety degree streets,
I want to see more.
It still amazes me .
see ya nextime.

When bush comes to shove

Then remember the next election,
the war waged on ,
osama , osama ,
still couldn't be found.
the colors were now ,
all warning us loudly , that something would happen ,
from somewhere else.
although we weren't sure
of the how's or the whys.
The colors they shouted from yellow to red,
if we didn't follow their warnings, pretty soon we'd be dead.
yellow was the leastest, of warnings to follow
it meant something was up, but not all that dire.
next came the orange , but not like the citrus,
it was shouting more loudly,
but not like the red one.
the red was the worst one, meaning something big was to happen ,
like on 11th september, this time we'd be ready.
but time and again , when they raised the alerts,
like rats , we waited
for to happen , the worst.
we waited and waited ,
transfixed to tv screens,
but nothing else happened , at least not on our streets.
it was time for george to run again.
time to tell us all what a brave man he was.
and a new contender was picked ,
a senator from out east.
where they talked well and used big words,
unlike george , who liked talking to people,
as if they were ten,
reassuring us of no taxes he'd raise.
making up stories , again and again ,
about how he cared about us,
about how life was so precious,
no mentioning dead folks , over there in his oil war.
'cause the cause it was noble, he said it again and again,
we felt he meant it, at least some of us did ,
though more and more folks said ,
"he's gotta be kiddin".
And then , last fall , we went to the polls again ,
the new guy this kerry from out east ,well new to us ,
a senator he was ,
served in the war from the past that we knew of ,
the one that george got out of ,
he was well connected.
but he played like a patriot, got some of us all emotional,
called this guy kerry "unpatriotic",
for serving in war
'cause in bushworld, those that do aren't real patriots
and those that don't are the ones
who'll protect us from harm ,
at least that's what they say.
but tomorrow, tomorrow's another day , dear reader.

Triumph of the george?

So saddam was captured ,
the war just beginning,
"make iraq free" ,
his highness was spinning.
Iraqis seemed happy ,
saddam statues fell in the street.
the war was over ,
the enemy in defeat.
But wait , what's this ,
we said , as more men died.
the guy we thought we believed ,
it seemed like he'd lied.
the guy whose' election seemed a little bit fishy,
was now in a war who's motives were iffy.
More men died and then more and more.
and those who didn't die got hurt worse than before.
Some men came back home from the war ,
said "I don't want to go back, what's it all for."
and prince george, still on high from his conflict,
said "this war means something, and I'll make it stick"
So the war kept on going , it's still going today.
for what, we don't know , 'cause georgie still won't say.
"to make iraq free" he says with a smirk,
and more and more Americans think of him as a jerk.
yeah , "he's a jerk , but he's our jerk", quoting nixon.
the last guy who was in and tried to put a fix in.
the war rages on , insurgents still pissed at us,
for trying to give them something they just don't trust.
and how can you trust georgie,
he talks like a child,
ranting and raving ,
I've never seen him mild.
But some folks ,
down in states painted red ,
see him as a savior,
a hero, instead.
But not Iraqis , at least the ones we threw bombs at.
they want us to go ,
they don't want what we've got.
They don't like americans , don't like the bushey one.
and don't like us killing all of their sons.
and then a lot of americans started getting real tired
of all the pronouncements
coming from georges mouth. .
The people hired by unca dicks firm haliburton,
kept getting rich from the war,
that's for certain.
But war wasn't for profit , you say,
it was to make peace and freedom.
that's what george kept saying ,
though I don't think I believe him.
he looks damaged , talks erratically, is mentally unbalanced.
from all the coke and whiskey he injested previous.
and , then , dear readers , it was time to elect ,
another four years
we had to select
a rival for georgie, we didn't like his bravado,
his fake cowboy stance , the man was a wacko.
Who would we put in to run against georgie?
stay tuned , dear readers and blog along again.

Son of blog job

So Clinton got a blow job....
and where was osama?

afghanis are free , george declared in a proud speech,
hand picked a leader in the afghans,
after a while , forgetting Osama ,
moved on to things other than that.
But still we all ,
traumatized by the plane hits,
of the fateful day,
went along with the new plans ,
although , some had our doubts.
Saddam hussain of Iraq , the man that we wanted ,
saddam from another war of king george the first.
"He's the one , he kills his own people",
said george, "he has destructive mass weapons that could do us all harm"
george was on high from "successful" missions on afghanistan , though no one dared ask where osama was now.
There were many good reasons to go to new war locales,
Saddam was the man got away from king george the first one,
made him look all wimpy and weak.
"An evil dictator is he" said our leader,
the war we will wage and then we'll take over,
it's easy , a few months it will take.
but planning was random ,
chaotic bomb missions,
A few months of this , we had our saddam ,
found hiding in holes unfit for a spider.
looking disheveled,
declaring he was still pres,
a date was set for his trial.
"Iraq is free" our pres stated with dignity,
"Mission accomplished",
the sign stated so clear.
But war dragged on ,
the people were tired,
lacking water and electricity, some said life was better with saddam.
There were the "insurgents" ,
people left over from saddams armies ,
who couldn't let go of ways beforehand.
But , dear reader , you know why we're still there.
if it wasn't too obvious,
the oil was still flowing ,
and everyone knows george was oils best friend.
The war it will wage on , over and over ,
CNN and fox will keep telling us ,
of causes more nobel.
But sacrifice , dear god no.
"Go shopping ", georges comments ,
after 11th september,
"it will make our economy flow"

more , dear readers , to follow

blog job

Clinton got a blow job,
all we heard for two years ,
ken starr told the lurrid tale on cnn.
day , after day.
ken starr , who sold his soul
to the highest bidder.
"We'll get him on something" , they said.
Whitewater investigations turned into monicagate.
"We've got him now, they shrieked,
as the christian rightists turned up thier forever investigation
to the "unpure as mud " president,
day after day on fox news
Clinton got a blow job.
"fair and unbalanced", they said , as the balence weighed highly on just how "right" they were.
Then they picked thier golden boy, King george, the second,
fair gov of texass,
had a folksey sound ,
like he cared about average , poor folk.
two term gov of texass, killed a lot of folks on "law and order" decrees , in the gas chamber,
wheather they deserved it or not , mostly non whites,
"let god sort it out " , were georges' thoughts on the matter.
So they ran him for pres, against the vp of Clinton,
Al gore , policy wonkist of uncomfortable pauses, too smart for us reg'lar folks,
georgie was thier man.
neck and neck, all the way.
gore thought he had won.
but wait, what's this, the shrub was ahead,
or so it seemed ,
back and forth for two weeks,
folks counting punches on ballots ,
invented in the seventies to simplify counting,
no one thought they could be cheated.
The closest election in many a year ,
maybe second closest in history,
if all was told fairly.
judges said, we've got us a winner, judges hand picked by george the first.
Georgie the second was crowned,
the silence was sickening.
And he said, "I'm here to stop the bickering , be a uniter , not a divider".
And we all were shocked, except , of course, the "religious" among them.
And it started. The first year was tough , his numbers were low , mistake after mistake, miscue after miscue.
It's not easy being george , the wordsmith he's not,
bungling time after time ,
no coherent message, thought he'd be a one termer , like dad,
george the first.
poll numbers falling , economy in free fall .
But wait what's this?
September the 11th?
nice clear day ?
9/11?
"a day that will live in infamy", they told us,
just to go back in our minds, ww11 images , the glorious bombing,
and of much greater men
FDR .
9/11 - hmm. 9/11
"911 emergency, please respond" 911 EMERGENCY!
WHAT THE FUCK???
a plane blew into our consciousness.
into a big ass building
in NY fucking C.
HOLY SHIT!
"This can't be real"
"is this a fucking jerry bruckheimer movie, where everything blows up and the bad guys die in the end? "
But , no
stuff blew up , blew up good.
and lots of folks died.
And we still don't know why, for sure.
Osama bin laden of saudi dissent, by way of afganistan, they said.
"he did it , he's the guy you want"
the pictures of all his ring leaders in the daily news,
like wanted posters in the post office ,
the story, all cut and dried in a matter of days.
and some of us bought it.
the images repeated , day after day ,
like an abused child , we responded , in bewilderment,
numb,
scared,
frightened.
We didn't know how to feel .
we'd never seen anything like it .
But , just to remind us of how scared we felt
we saw it over and over , transfixed to the tv,
like lab rats on speed ,
feeling like shit , but not getting enough, never getting enough.
They had an answer ,
go into Afghanistan, have a war on osama,
"smoke him out" , george said , his confidence high.
so we bombed on the afghans , thier mountains rained with shells,
as they had before from the russians,
in another war,
when talibans were friendly.
well, before talibans , it was called "musha ha deen" , or something like that.
They were our friends , were fighting the russians,
our sworn enemy.
so we armed them , armed them good , so russians would know our might.
And then we left . we'd had enough of afghanistan.
so , then , out of the blue sky comes 9/11 , to save george from embarrassment
of a one term president.
And he started sounding , well some said, "presidential", although I never bought it.
"presidential" , that would imply that he had a brain, his own original thoughts, a way of responding to things that didn't make him sound like a ten year old.
He never had that , in my mind.
He always sounded like the very dysfunctional , brain impaired , disorganized thinking , ex coke snorting , hard drinking frat boy that he is.
I mean a psychologist could go to town on this guy.
But , back to the story.
war in afghanistan went on for awhile,
we got the taliban in a number of weeks, so they said .
Afganis we're free, they said , burkas were lifted from faces of women ,
who no longer had to look like beekeepers,
we could see thier eyes!
"we care about womans' rights" , said george , feeling prideful from a job well done.
BUT WHERE WAS OSAMA?
Did anyone check? was he in the mountains of the rough afghani ranges?
did we just forget about osama , PUBLIC ENEMY #1
Stay tuned dear reader......

breathe

well dear readers , now is the time for us all to deeply breathe and try and figure out what to do with our little messed up world . We feel powerless to do anything but to look at our stock portfolios (those that are fortunate to have them) or bank balances and figure out what to do next. do we just split this messed up country and flee for canada, which is colder but does take care of it's people? Do we stay here and fight a government that has no interest in taking care of the less fortunate?
I don't want to live in martial law land, I don't want to fear that I'm going to be shot by someone over a bottle of water or a pair of gymshoes , or for a gallon of gas, which by the time the week is over , may cost more than an ounce of gold. I don't want to live in a world where the illeagally elected commander in thief presides over a bunch of his cronies like kenny boy lay from enron biggest bankrupcy in history and heck it's no big deal. or tom delay ripping off indian tribes 'cause he says he thinks gambling is immoral , hey what about stealing. but hey its only dammned indians. There are sooo many things these whack jobs have done while in office that defy reason and just go to pure greed, masked by "religion" and "the culture of life" culture of life . what a phrase , coming from the guy who has caused more death an destruction both home and abroad than any president in recent history.

what a world!

I'm just pissed off at the world ! The place is going to hell in a handbasket! why are we at war with iraq? "weapons of mass destruction" , weapons of mass destraction, is more like it. bushco is a snakeoil salesman of the highest order, and we're all his shills, just running around , trying to pay our bills, too damn confused to know what the hell is going on. " Daddy' daddy ' I can make good on all my failed oil deals I can be a good president , I can make you proud". Is that what the hell this is all about? "I'm better than that east coast country club snob, and I can be a plain speakin , regular country folk , christian do gooder , gay bashin , culture 'a life , anti terraist president." what a load of crap! Well , at least he didn't cheat on his wife with that hussy monica lewinsky! just cheated on most of the american people . just keep crappin on us , we can take it . we're good americans we'll believe anything. but wait, new orleans is a cesspool, teeming with the realization of the fact that they didn't get enough money to upgrade the levees , 'cause we needed more money for the bad iraquis that we didn't need to be at war with. but don't worry , haliburton will bale out n.o. while dick " where's chaney" , counts the profits . thats just too fucked up. "christians"? where? "compassionate conservative?" contradiction in terms. more , later.
